Autumn Sunday Afternoon Gathering

Sweet Apple Spice Creme*

Rosemary crackers,
Pumpkin Cranberry Crackers,

Cinnamon Swirl Butter Cake, purchased, sliced

Assorted Autumn Berry Maple Iced Turnovers:
Blackberry Cream Cheese*, Raspberry Pear*, and BlueberryLemon*

Beverages:

Apple Cider Spritzers*
Chilled Spiced Apple Cider
Chilled Perrier, assorted sparkling beverages
Ice

Recipes:

Sweet Apple Spice Creme:

1 container whipped cream cheese
1 cup marshmallow creme
6 tbsp vanilla yogurt
1/4 tsp apple pie spice

With an electric mixer, beat together cream cheese until smooth. Add the yogurt and the spice and beat until smooth.

Caramel Sauce:

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup butter

In a small saucepan, melt butter. Add brown sugar and cook over medium until sugar is dissolved and starts to bubble. Remove from the heat and whisk in sour cream until smooth.

Makes 2 1/2 cups

Basic Soda Recipe:
1-2 tbsp syrup
1-1/2 cups seltzer, or club soda
Splash of half and half, optional
Cinnamon whipped cream
Ice

Cinnamon Whipped Cream:
2 cups whipping cream
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon

With an electric mixer, whip cream, vanilla and sugar together.
When almost set, add cinnamon, and beat until soft peaks form.

Fresh Strawberry Snow Caps

Shaved ice with fresh strawberries, lime, and the always delicious, sweetened condensed milk. While the sun blazes hot, this tasty snow cap will be sure to keep you cool! ~Amy

Fresh Strawberry Snow Caps

2 cups fresh strawberries
About 1/4 cup sugar
1 lime, cut into 4 wedges
Sweetened condensed milk
6-8 cups shaved ice

Place strawberries in a food processor or blender, pulse until desired consistency. Add sugar to taste. Layer into glasses, alternating between strawberries, ice and drizzling sweetened condensed milk. Squeeze fresh lime over the top, and serve immediately.

Makes 4 servings

Lavender Blue, Vanilla Rose, and Cherry Blossom
Garden Party Drinks

Lavender Blue:

Mix together:
4 tbsp Torani Bluberry Syrup
4 tbsp Torani Lavender Syrup

Club soda
Crushed ice

Makes 4-6 servings

Vanilla Rose:

Mix together:
6 tbsp Torani Vanilla Syrup
2 tbsp Torani Rose Syrup

Club soda
Crushed ice

Makes 4-6 servings

Cherry Blossom:

Mix together:
4 tbsp Torani Cherry Syrup
4 tbsp Torani Rose Syrup

Club Soda
Crushed Ice

Makes 4-6 servings

Directions:
Pour combined syrup over crushed ice, evenly distributed into 4-6 glasses. Pour club soda over the top, and lightly stir. Serve immediately.

Menu:

Sparkling Strawberry White Grape Juice

Spicy Tomato Shots with Celery Hearts

Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream

Strawberry Vanilla Crunch Yogurt Creme Brûlée*

Chocolate Chocolate Waffles with Fresh Raspberry Syrup and Chantilly Cream*

Black Forest Ham, Rosemary, and Vermont Cheddar Bread Pudding

Recipes:

Spicy Tomato Shots with Celery Hearts:

3 cups Clamato Tomato Juice, chilled
2 limes, juiced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp horseradish
12-16 drops Tabasco
3/4 tsp celery salt

Garnish:
Celery hearts
Lime wedges

Place in blender or stir together all ingredients. Pour into shot glasses and garnish.

Makes 4-6 full ounce servings

Sparkling Strawberry White Grape Juice:

White Grape juice, chilled
Club soda, chilled
Pour juice into individual glasses, 3/4

Black Forest Ham, Rosemary, and Vermont Cheddar Bread Pudding:

5 cups rustic or French bread, cubed
10 eggs
2 cups of milk
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 sprigs rosemary, leaves removed and minced

2 cups Vermont Cheddar Cheese, grated
4 oz Black Forest ham, thick sliced and cubed

Butter 9×13 baking dish.

Place bread in the dish, cover with cheese.

In a medium sized bowl, whisk together eggs, add sour cream and salt and pepper. Whisk in milk, and pour over bread mixture. Sprinkle with ham and gently fold. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Heat oven to 350
Bake for 60 minutes or until mixture has puffed up slightly and is golden brown on the top. Tent top with foil if it is browning to quickly. Let set for 5 minutes before serving.

6-8 servings

Fresh Raspberry Hibiscus Refresher

1 bag caffeine-free Herbal Tazo, Passion
1 cup boiling water

Pour boiling water over bag and let it steep for 5 minutes. Refrigerate to cool.

Add:
3 cups Simply Raspberry Lemonade, chilled
1 cup club soda, or Perrier, or Pellegrino, chilled
Fresh raspberries
Crushed ice
Fresh mint

Serve immediately

Iced Irish Cream Crio Bru


I absolutely love this drink! Crio Bru is a brewed drink that is made from ground, roasted cocoa beans, and pressed or filtered like coffee. It is delicious, especially when paired with a little Irish Cream and a splash of half and half. It is good both hot or iced!  ~Amy

Iced Irish Cream Crio Bru

Ingredients:
2 tbsp Crio Bru Cavalla, brewed and cooled
2 tbsp Torani Irish Cream, barista syrup
Half and half
Crushed ice

Placed crushed ice into a tall glass. Add Crio Bru, syrup, and a splash of half and half, swirl to mix. Enjoy!

Makes 1 serving

*Cavalla is the flavor of ground cocoa beans
