Chocolate Swirled Marble Bars

Chocolate Swirled Marble Bars

When I was a little girl my Mom would make these delicious cookies several times a week, and they are truly a favorite! I know that they have the same ingredients as a chocolate chip cookie, but there is something about the swirled chocolate that makes it a heavenly bite.

Chocolate Swirl Marble Bars

1 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp coarse salt
1 cup milk, semi- sweet, dark chocolate pieces, or a combination of all

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

With an electric mixer, beat butter and sugars together until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Add dry ingredients, and mix until just incorporated. Spread evenly into a 13×9 baking pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and place in heated oven for 3 minutes. With knife, move through the chocolate pieces and dough to create a marbled effect. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes 18-24 servings

  1. Amy! I made these right after I read this and they were delicious. I think I “marbled” a little too much. I will have to develop you finesse! Can’t wait to try more of your recipes.
